So, after the untimely demise of the much loved Bush plane B due to pushing it to and beyond its limits

it was time for a replacement, after much deliberation and the very fortunate delivery of the new Creality K1 printer 🙂 i decided on the Eclipson “Model 3D” as apposed to another of the same, its advised that the 3D is printed with Light Weight PLA (at least in part), however i ignored this totally and printed the lot in Creality’s PLA Ultra, supposedly stronger and recommend for use in the incredibly fast K1 printer. each section of the plane took approximately 2 hours to pint on this machine!, normal printing would see 3 – 4 hours for each, plus the quality is excellent even at high speed printing. So weighing in at 1150g dry (no battery) making it a “little” over weight hence earning the name “Fat Boy“, the maiden flight is imminent for this weekend (weather permitting) and a video of the event will follow!
